Embossed background

Embossed backgrounds add texture and difference.  I try and keep a supply in different colours available so I can quickly use them if the muse directs it.  You can sand them, sponge them or leave them as they are - great!
Today's card uses an embossed background on metallic cardstock - a bit of glimmer without too much
(unusual for me!).  The green starbursts are popped. The starbursts were fussy cut and the ornaments punched.
Tip - I adhered the embossed panel with sticky strip as regular adhesives don't have enough holdwith the metallics.

Supplies:
Paper - whisper white, rich razzleberry and silver metallic c/s from SU
Stamp - "contempo christmas" and "delightful decorations" from SU
Ink - rich razzleberry and old olive
Tools - ornament punch from SU, Cuttlebug, "snow flurries" embossing folder
Other - plum pearls from Kaisercraft
Adhesive - sticky strip, dimensionals
