Spotty Fun

Hello.
It's nearly New Year - can you believe it!!
Today's card uses a piece of Halloween DSP - can you believe it!!

That's enough of that silliness. Ha ha. But seriously this DSP is called "Howlstooth and Scaringbone" and was the Halloween one for this year. I have found it to be great for all sorts of other occasions too. eg; male birthdays.  It becomes unavailable after the end of January so I may just have to stock up!

You can see the pattern range in the pack of DSP in the Holiday catalogue from Stampin' Up.If you would like to order some just drop me an email (paperalchemy.susie@gmail.com).

Supplies:
Paper - very vanilla c/s, "howlstooth and scaringbone" DSP
Stamp - "bring on the cake"
Ink - pumpkin pie ink pad
Other - felt stickers and heart ribbon from stash
Adhesives - snail, sticky strip, dimensionals

Hope Life is treating you well.
Happy crafting!
Cheers

For the Newlyweds

Bit of punch art and some ribbon and pearls! Super easy. The leaves behind the flower are hand cut. The flower and the sentiment panel are popped. I sponged around the edge of the white section on the sentiment panel with pink ink. To make the flower I punched out 6 then scrunched them and layered them with snail.

Supplies:
Paper - whisper white, bashful blue and pink pirouette c/s, "twitterpated" DSP
Stamp - "teeny tiny sentiments"
Ink - Pear pizzazz (ret) and pink pirouette
Tools - scallop circle punch, decorative label punch, modern label punch
Other - pink satin ribbon from stash, basic pearls
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip (for the ribbon), dimensionals

Weekend tomorrow.  Hope to fit a visit in to Ikea tomorrow. Probably me and half of Sydney!!  Hope you have a great weekend.

Happy crafting!
Cheers

Back to reality (and the future!)

Thank you cards are on the menu at our house this week. This technique was taught by my upline Karen.  It's a faux patina style. The edges of the sentiment panel are sponged and it is popped.

At the moment I am working on some new announcements.  They will commence in the New Year - so keep your eyes peeled!

Supplies:
Paper - whisper white, early espresso, bashful blue and always artichoke c/s
Stamp - "word play"
Ink - bashful blue, always artichoke and early espresso (sentiment)
Tools - Big Shot, "petals a plenty" embossing folder, sponges, boho blossoms punch, corner rounder, heat gun, scallop ribbon punch
Other - white taffeta ribbon, gold brad, gold embossing powder
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip, dimensionals

Happy crafting!

Merry Christmas Everyone

No cards today, but I thought I would share with you our Christmas display - photographed by my daughter.

This last photo is of the children's collection of Nintendo characters. They both got a new one or two for Christmas so decided to take a photo of their combined collection!

I wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas and a brilliant New Year full of crafting goodness. Hope Santa brought you some new goodies to play with!

Happy crafting!

Last Christmas cards for 2012 (boo hoo!)

Today's offering is a couple of last minute cards that are very easy to do.

Stamp - "contempo christmas" (ret)

Pictures of Christmas Event

WARNING (lol): This is a picture heavy post!!

I held the event in my front yard as it is shaded by a lovely big plane tree and faces directly onto the street. For next year's event I hope to have the yard astro turfed.  Much more attractive prospect than dirt!!  I have tried growing a ground cover but it just doesn't get sun and the big trees around suck everything dry.

The first couple of pictures show the card table with a collection of boxes and stuffing stuffers

This is the main table which had cards, lolly bags, gift tags and some table decor.

This is the ornament section of my display. The glass ornaments I decorated with rhinestones and glitter glue. The cubes (made by my clever daughter!) are origami.

More ornaments, snowmen bookmarks, and candy cane santa mice. Melted Snowman - a fun idea I saw on the net which is the only type of snowman we are likely to see here in Australia on Christmas day!!

I plan to spend the Christmas break writing some tutorials for the things I made.  Lots of inspiration off the net - Pinterest, blogs and Stampin connection.  I will attribute the idea to the person I saw it from when I do the tutorials.  First one will go live the second full week of 2013 on Tutorial Tuesday! The 15/1/2013 - mark it in your diary or better yet join up and have it posted straight to your inbox.

Scrapturday (using your scraps) will also return in 2013 - but will be a fortnightly event. 12/1/2013 and 26/1/2013 (Australia Day).

Off to have a good night's sleep then start making the bon bons (crackers) for our family Christmas (the kids and I).  Hope you are having a good festive season.

Happy crafting!
Cheers
