Paper - old olive c/s by SU, red textured c/s from stash, "blast off" DSP by Bo Bunny
Stamp - "afterthoughts" by SU (hostess set)
Ink - navy Tombow marker
Tools - extra large scallop circle punch by SU

The final frontier...

Yes ...I watch star trek! I couldn't resist this space themed paper pad by Bo Bunny. Just too cute and ideal for boy (or space mad girl) cards.  There are two cards today and both use this paper pad. The first one a fussy cut the images from one sheet to layer and pop. I also used crystal effects on the stars on the planets and the space suit.  The sentiment is hand coloured with markers, punched then layered and popped up.  The orange layer is hand cut.

Supplies:
Paper - red and orange c/s from stash, DSP is "blast off" from Bo Bunny, whisper white c/s from SU
Stamp - "tiny tags" from SU
Ink - old olive marker from SU, orange Tombow marker
Tools - circle punch from SU
Other - crystal effects
Adhesive - snail, dimensionals

This card uses the same paper pad but I tried making my own sentiment.  Not sure if I am totally happy with the end result. The whole panel is covered with crystal effects and popped up. The long panel is also popped.

Supplies:
Paper - peach parfait c/s from SU, "blast off" by Bo Bunny DSP
Other - crystal effects, thin red ric rac from stash, star brads from stash
Adhesive - snail, dimensionals

Sporting duties for me tomorrow so no crafting but I have saved a card to show you. So until then.... Sleep well!

Just for you...

Went back to "summer days" by Echo Park for this card. I fussy cut the banner and popped it up using tiny foam dots.  This is still quite a "girly" card but I have worked today on producing some boy cards too.  Will share over the next few days.

Supplies:
Paper - whisper white c/s from SU, "summer days" DSP from Echo Park
Stamp - "afterthoughts" from SU (hostess set)
Ink - pixie pink (retired) SU
Other - braid from Spotlight, hot pink rhinestones from Kaisercraft
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip, tiny foam dots

The sentiment reads - Just for you so you don't have to share.

Back tomorrow with a boy card.

Happy crafting!

It's a celebration

I apologise profusely for the quality of this photo.  It is a cold and rainy afternoon and I have tried all sorts of settings on my camera and eventually gave up.  I am buying a daylight lamp!!!!  I really wanted to post today so that you didn't think I had given up!! Just had a return of the lurgy.
The icecream images are cut from a piece of paper and mounted then popped up. I also added Kindyglitz.  the papers are all from the same 6 x 6 pad by Echo Park.

Card -
Paper - whisper white c/s from SU, DSP is from "summer days" by Echo Park
Stamp - "afterthoughts" by SU (hostess set)
Ink - Tombow marker

Christmas in July

To eat traditional Christmas food (roasts etc) in 30+ degree heat doesn't make sense here in Australia - but in July it does! So Christmas in July is a catching on thing here. A bit of silly fun and an excuse to get double use out of the chrissie decorations!  No special tricks to today's card - just lots of layering.

Supplies:
Card -
Paper - old olive and elegant eggplant c/s from SU, gold metallic c/s from SU
Tools - Martha Stewart ornament border punch, small scallop scissors
Other - rub-on from Kaisercraft, concord crush ribbon from SU
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip.

Happy crafting!

One Layer Card

A one layer card for this post.  I used two different packets of rub-ons for this one. A general one and a christmas one.  Both non-brand.  I think it looks like a nice birthday card for a boy, or a girl who likes blue!  The card really is a lovely soft blue but I took the photo late at night and as yet do not own a daylight lamp (birthday wish list!).

Supplies:
Card -
Paper - bashful blue c/s by SU
Other - non-brand rub-ons

What a short list!  It was actually hard for me not to add more to this but I left it for 24 hours and decided that I did like it simple.  What do you think?

Purple

I just love purple. After white it's my most prolific card stock. All the permutations are just so beautiful! This card uses a new in-colour from SU called concord crush.  I have a crush on it! I also love the combo of purple and green.  Remember the perfume in the eighties called "poison" - I so wanted to get it because the packaging was purple and green but it smelt terrible on me, so no go. Enough rambling - here are the details for the card. I stamped the sentiment then stamped over it with a flourish which I stamped off twice first.  Then I punched it out and sponged the edges.  Its popped up. The corrugated card was pre-made as my corrugator has died.

Supplies:
Card -
Paper - concord crush and whisper white c/s from SU, corrugated card from stash, DSP from stash
Stamp - "tiny tags" from SU
Ink - concord crush from SU
Tools - curly label punch from SU, sponge dauber
Other - elegant eggplant ribbon from SU, aqua rhinestones from Kaisercraft
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip, dimensionals

I will probably gift this card to my sister-in-laws mother.  Her surname is Love and she likes to have "love" cards to send.

Happy crafting!

Sweetness

A CAS card today - very clean and simple. The rub-on gave me the idea for the hearts which I fussy cut from a piece of Christmas paper! I then covered them with crystal effects to make them all glossy.

Supplies:
Card -
Paper - elegant eggplant c/s from SU, Kate Knight Christmas stack
Other - rub-on from stash, crystal effects
Adhesive - snail

Guess what I did?  I ran out of white card stock! Can you believe someone could do that!! I feel a right ninny.  More ordered so will be able to get back into the swing of things soon. In the meantime it's colour all the way!

Happy crafting!

Greenhouse gala birthday

Another scraps day in paper alchemy land. The flower was punched from three different papers, scrunched and secured with a brad. The stamp was coloured with a marker then breathed on and stamped as I didn't want the whole of the image.

Supplies:
Card-
Paper - daffodil delight c/s from SU, gold metallic from SU, "greenhouse gala" DSP from SU, green matte from "hey birdie" by Kaisercraft, mustard trim from stash. Flower: pumpkin pie from SU, cream marle from stash, green from Core'dinations
Stamp - "afterthoughts" from SU (hostess set)
Ink - orange Tombow marker
Tools - fancy flower punch from SU, small scallop scissors, "threading water" border punch from Fiskars
Other - "circle ice" brad from SU
Adhesive - snail, dimensionals

It just occurred to me that if you remove the flower this could do time as a masculine card as well.  I really must try to make some more masculine themed cards.  It's so easy to get caught up in the "frilly" stuff!!

Thinking of you

Punches - gotta love them! This card uses two punches - fancy flower and 2 step bird (for the leaves). The flowers are two layers for the green with the top layer curled and sponged with ink. I also sponged the centre of each flower to provide an illusion of depth.  The green flowers are also popped up.

Supplies:
Card -
Paper - daffodil delight and pumpkin pie from SU, green from Core'dinations
Ink - daffodil delight
Tools - fancy flower and 2 step bird punches from SU
Other - buttons from stash, rub-on from stash, crochet trim from SU
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip, glue dots, dimensionals

Off to make a pile of Christmas gift tags.  Will post a selection in a few days.

Happy crafting!

Happy birthday in green

Hi all - sorry to have been away for so long! We have been the house of "lurgy" - everyone sick - so I have not had a moment to do anything - or the energy to tell the truth.  Anyway, back on track now! Today's card is a birthday card using up some of my slowly dwindling stash of scraps. It's funny but for every piece I use two more seem to take its place!! The flower was made with a punch and then scrunched and secured with a brad.

Supplies:
Card -
Paper - old olive c/s from SU, Paper scraps from unknown origin.
Stamp - "afterthoughts" a SU hostess set
Ink - marina mist from SU
Tools - fancy flower punch from SU
Other - marina mist satin ribbon from SU, circle ice brad from SU
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip, dimensionals, glue dots

Working towards a big spring fair so will have heaps to show over the coming weeks.  Stay well.

Happy crafting!
