Today's post is all about scallops. I have made three cards - all using scallops - but the scallops are all made different ways.
This card uses large scallop scissors to create the scallops. The paper is a magazine freebie from Pink Petticoat. I alternated each patterned layer with a plain one to emphasise the patterns but also to unify the design. The edges of the card are sponged with pink chalk.
Supplies:
Card -
Paper - whisper white from SU, Pink Petticoat DSP
Ink - generic pale pink chalk
Tools - sponge dauber, large scallop scissors
Other - Kaisercraft pale pink rhinestones, Pale pink ribbon from Spotlight
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip
The next card uses scallops that are pre-cut from a 6x6 pad from Kaisercraft. The label is also. The label is popped up on the card front and some of the flowers are too to provide dimension.
Supplies:
Card -
Paper - whisper white from SU, Kaisercraft "after five" 6x6 pad
Stamp - "warm words" set from SU
Ink - memento black
Other - Prima flowers, grey ribbon from stash, Kaisercraft snow pearls
Adhesive - snail, sticky strip, dimensionals, glue dots
This last card uses a border punch from Fiskars to make the scallops. The card edges are sponged with ink and the centre tree panel is fussy cut then popped up. The paper has a naturally glossy glitter to it.
Supplies:
Card -
Paper - Textured cream and raspberry pink from stash, chocolate chip from SU, Kaisercraft "hey birdie" DSP
Ink - pixie pink from SU
Tools - sponge dauber, Fiskars "threading water" border punch
Other - chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon from SU
Adhesive - snail, dimensionals, sticky strip, glue dot
Long may scallops reign (the edible ones too!).
Happy crafting!
Cheers
Susie
